Therapeutic Massage

Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Deep Tissue Massage are therapeutic, hands -on techniques used to relieve pain and improve function of soft tissues impaired by injury, immobility and overuse.

Myofascial release addresses fascia, the connective tissue layer surrounding all muscles, organs, blood vessels and nerves.

Trigger point therapy addresses tender nodules found in taught bands of muscle, that when activated can cause headache, pain, numbness or tingling and are felt in seemingly unrelated areas of the body.

Deep tissue massage is used to break up adhesions at varying depths within tissue. Although many people like harder pressure, the misnomer that deep tissue massage must be painful to be effective is simply not true. A skilled therapist can release adhesions anywhere within tissue without causing pain.
